Miss Cafe is a Turkish restaurant in Pike Place Market. I had never been there before, but I read about it in The Stranger. You can eat in or take out. If you eat in, then you could sit inside or you could sit outside in the covered area and watch people walk by.
When I walked into Miss Cafe I was surrounded by the smell of baking bread. There were one or two other customers, so it was easy to get a seat. We listened to the Beatles while we waited for our food.
I wanted to try their pida, because that’s what Jen Swanson from The Stranger reviewed. A pida is like a pizza except it’s an oval and the crust is a little bit thinner on the bottom, there’s also no tomato sauce. The edge was pinched up and it was served on an oval wood platter. One pida would probably feed three toddlers. I ate half of it, and I’m seven years old. I ordered a pida with cheese and pepperoni. It tasted really cheesy. The pepperoni was good. The crust was chewy. It was served with dipping sauce made of yogurt. The sauce was pretty lemony and I didn’t use much. It wasn’t my favorite. In general the pida was really good.
I recommend going to Miss Cafe when you’re in the mood for trying something new. While you’re at the Market, there’s also a really fun magic shop.
