El Quetzal is a Mexican restaurant on Beacon Hill. I wanted to go there so I could get out my bike and ride it to a restaurant near my house.
The food was good. The first thing I ate was some chips, they were crunchy and salty. The salsa was pretty spicy. I didn’t like the salsa, the Torta Seattle however was pretty good. It was bread with eggs, beef sausage, avocado, and tomato. The flavors mixed nicely.
There are lots of different kinds of tortas around the world. An Italian torta dolce is a cake! A Mexican torta is basically a huge sandwich.
The restaurant was made of wood with lots of paintings of the sun and moon. The room was full in a good way. It was lively. There was a TV right over my seat, but I could still see it. Soccer was playing on the TV.
I recommend El Quetzal. If you’re really hungry and/or a grownup, then get the Seattle. If you’re a kid, I would get el chavito. My friends got it. It was two quesadillas, a slice of cantaloupe, refried beans, and rice. It looked good. My friends liked it. Mac, who is one of my friends, wanted more rice and beans. I’ll get it next time I go there.
