I’ve recently been to Hi Spot. I go there because my Grandma and Grandpa like to go there and they come to Seattle a lot.
Last time I went there I got the Full House with a buttermilk pancake, bacon, and two poached eggs. I got the poached eggs because I didn’t remember having poached eggs and I wanted to see what they were like. The pancake was a creamy brown and the eggs were kind-of yellow in the middle and white on the outside. My food looked really good! The bacon was crunchy and delicious! The pancake tasted like a pancake. The eggs tasted like poached eggs. To poach an egg you have to crack it into boiling water I didn’t like them. I prefer my eggs scrambled.
I got a Soy Steamer to drink, which is just steamed soy milk. The soy steamer tasted very creamy and had foam on top. I got a bite of my Papa’s vegan pumpkin scone, which was yummy. I also had a bite of my Grandma’s Cheese Baked Eggs – they were very cheesy and eggy! I also had some of my Papa’s fruit bowl. I got kiwi and grapes. The fruit cup was pretty.
The restaurant is in Madrona near a clothes shop. There are lots of tables, and it looks like a coffee shop downstairs, and upstairs it looks like a restaurant. You can eat both inside and outside. Outside there are umbrellas. It was loud and lively . One of the waitress’s names is Brittany and she’s nice. I already know Brittany because she’s a friend of my family. Sometimes we have to wait for a table, but when we do, we sit down at their waiting place.
I would recommend Hi Spot for breakfast. I don’t know what I’ll get next time. Maybe the Full House.
